luccio luscious wine

Image
Name: luccio luscious wine Variety: Sangiovese Country and Region: Piedmont, Italy Year: 2019 Winery Revie w: Luccio Luscious Red is delightfully sweet with juicy flavors of cherry and strawberry, with balanced acidity and a soft, smooth finish. Wine Foley Page 744: This is Italy’s most planted grape, and the taste differs based on where it grows due to its high sensitivity. It is very acidic and tannic which makes it pairing with peppery dishes ideal. It has hints of roasted tomato, cherry, and oregano. My review: This wine was also pretty unique because it was a grape variety that I am not too familiar with. It tasted fairly acidic and was not very pleasant in the mouth. Like wine folly said, it did pair with a smoked and peppered chicken dish pretty well. This is not a wine that I would have by itself.

Grape wagon

Image
Name: Grape Wagon Red Blend Variety: Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc Country and Region: Napa Valley, California Year: 2018 Winery Review: Aromas of fresh berries and subtle earth with flavors of blackberry, raspberry and earth with a savory finish of balanced tannins. Enjoy with pizza. Pastas and BBQ. Wine Foley Page 287: This is a blend made up of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. The high tannis and body make this blend ideal to pair with steak and other meaty dishes. There are hints of chocolate, graphite, black cherry, black currant, and dried herbs.  My Review: This wine was unique because it was a blend of some of California’s best wines. It had a very pungent smell to it, and a very pungent taste in my mouth. It did not go down easily at all because it was very acidic. This is definitely a wine I personally would not recommend to another person who has similar taste as me. I tried it with some chicken and it did not really help.

Caras de Los Andes

Image
Name: Caras de Los Andes Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon Region and Country: Central Valley, Chile Year: 2021 Winery Review: Wine of Chilean Origin made with excellent quality raw materials of the Cabernet Sauvignon variety. Product of wide displacement and recognized quality in hundreds of consumption centers of the hotel sector of Cancun, Riviera Maya and Mexican Pacific. Wine Folly Page 311: These wines are concentrated and aged for long periods. It originated in Bordeaux, France. It has high tannin and rich flavor, making it a perfect pairing with grilled meats and dishes with lots of flavor. France, Chile, and the US are the primary producers. My Review: I was not a huge fan of this wine. This wine was very acidic, which is a quality I do not like. Once I tried this wine with food, it became more tolerable. I ate at the steakhouse at the resort which came with steak, shrimp, and veggies. It paired well with the steak and shrimp, but not so much the veggies. I got what I expected! Ov

Marbella Gasificado Rosé

Image
Name: Marbella Gasificado Rosé Variety: Viura Country and Region: Vivo de España , Spain Year: 2018 Winery Review: Marbella is a sparkling wine, it provides a perfect combination of flavors with fine bubbles. They are made with high quality wines and bottled meeting the highest standards of its category. Product widely used in hundreds of consumption centers in the hotel and restaurant sector. Wine Folly Page 897: This is a common grape in Spanish Rioja Blanco and Cava sparkling wines. Aging this specific grape gives a nutty flavor. Young Viura pairs well with spicy southeast asian dishes. When aged, it is paired well with roasted meats and herbs. There are hints of honeydew, lime, lemon, hazelnut, and tarragon flavors. This variety is predominantly grown in Spain, followed by France. My Review: I drank this wine while on Vacation to Cancun, Mexico. The waiter brought us a rose that the whole table really enjoyed. This was a 4 course meal, and it paired well with some and not others.

Vino Orquestra Review

Image
Name: Vino Orquestra Variety:  Merlot Region and Country: Land of Castile, Spain Year: 2020 Winery Review: Intense red color with complex aromas of plum and ripe cherries. On the palate it is rich, frank, with soft tannins that stand out in this elegant and balanced wine. Wine Folly Page 565: Merlot has a strong black cherry and chocolate/smoky flavor. It is served well alongside pork chops, short ribs, or mushrooms. It is most commonly grown in France, with Italy and the United States following. It is spent in the cellar between 5-20 years. My Review: I paired this wine with short ribs, steak, and grilled vegetables. Between the 3 sides, it definitely went best with the short ribs. The short ribs gave a sweet barbeque flavor while the wine gave a slight acidic taste, which seemed to balance quite well. The wine went down the throat quite well, definitely better than some other red wines I have had in the past.
