Winery Review: Aromas of fresh berries and subtle earth with flavors of blackberry, raspberry and earth with a savory finish of balanced tannins. Enjoy with pizza. Pastas and BBQ.

Wine Foley Page 287: This is a blend made up of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. The high tannis and body make this blend ideal to pair with steak and other meaty dishes. There are hints of chocolate, graphite, black cherry, black currant, and dried herbs. 

My Review: This wine was unique because it was a blend of some of California’s best wines. It had a very pungent smell to it, and a very pungent taste in my mouth. It did not go down easily at all because it was very acidic. This is definitely a wine I personally would not recommend to another person who has similar taste as me. I tried it with some chicken and it did not really help.

  Name: Caras de Los Andes Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon Region and Country: Central Valley, Chile Year: 2021 Winery Review: Wine of Chilean Origin made with excellent quality raw materials of the Cabernet Sauvignon variety. Product of wide displacement and recognized quality in hundreds of consumption centers of the hotel sector of Cancun, Riviera Maya and Mexican Pacific. Wine Folly Page 311: These wines are concentrated and aged for long periods. It originated in Bordeaux, France. It has high tannin and rich flavor, making it a perfect pairing with grilled meats and dishes with lots of flavor. France, Chile, and the US are the primary producers. My Review: I was not a huge fan of this wine. This wine was very acidic, which is a quality I do not like. Once I tried this wine with food, it became more tolerable. I ate at the steakhouse at the resort which came with steak, shrimp, and veggies. It paired well with the steak and shrimp, but not so much the veggies. I got what I expected...

Wine Foley Page 287: This is primarily a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. This is an excellent blend to pair with steaks and other meaty dishes. It is important to keep the seasonings simple- salt and pepper. There is high tannin and body in this blend. There are hints of chocolate, graphite, and black cherry. My review: This wine was one of the more tannic wines that I have tasted. It gave me a burning sensation so I was not a huge fan. I did not pair it with a meal because I could not stand the taste. I would not recommend this wine to a friend.
