luccio luscious wine
Name: luccio luscious wine
Variety: Sangiovese
Country and Region: Piedmont, Italy
Year: 2019
Winery Review: Luccio Luscious Red is delightfully sweet with juicy flavors of cherry and strawberry, with balanced acidity and a soft, smooth finish.
Wine Foley Page 744: This is Italy’s most planted grape, and the taste differs based on where it grows due to its high sensitivity. It is very acidic and tannic which makes it pairing with peppery dishes ideal. It has hints of roasted tomato, cherry, and oregano.
My review: This wine was also pretty unique because it was a grape variety that I am not too familiar with. It tasted fairly acidic and was not very pleasant in the mouth. Like wine folly said, it did pair with a smoked and peppered chicken dish pretty well. This is not a wine that I would have by itself.
