Vintner's Reserve Riesling

Name: Vintner's Reserve Riesling

Variety: Riesling

Country and Region: Monterey County, California

Year: 2020

Winery Review: Deliciously crisp with vibrant fruit aromas and subtle spice notes. Layers of apricot, peach and Anjou pear intermingle with bursts of aromatic jasmine delivering a delightful finish to this Vintner's Reserve Riesling.

Wine Foley Page 722: This is a versatile grape. It can be used to make wines that range from dry to sweet. Germany is the most important producer of this variety. It pairs well with Spicy West Asian Cuisine. It is perfectly suited with pork, bacon, shrimp, and crab. There are hints of lime, green apple, beeswax, and petroleum.

My review: This was my first time trying a Riesling wine. It went down the throat quite easily. Despite having a very pungent scent. I drank this wine with some pork chops and they paired quite well. I would recommend this wine to a friend.
