Winery Review: At Bay Bridge Vineyards, we carefully select grapes from some of the finest vineyards to craft wines with vibrant fruit and elegant structure. Bay Bridge wines are full of flavor, rich in color and smooth in taste, which makes them delicious and the perfect accompaniment to any meal. This fruit forward, sweet Moscato is bursting with aromas of ripe honeysuckle and a hint of citrus. Enjoy this refreshing wine with a raw vegetable platter or with biscotti for dessert.

Wine Folly: Page 605: Muscat blanc grapes originated in Greece. It is a versatile grape that can be used in dry, sweet, sparkling, and fortified wines. The sweet moscato blanc is paired well with steak and poultry dishes, not so much sweet foods/dishes. It is a commonly grown grape, mainly grown in Italy, France, and Spain. An interesting note was that the primary taste is fresh grapes and the tertiary test is aged pecan, hazelnut, pecan, and toffee.

My review: Before tasting the wine, I had some difficulties opening the wine. It was a synthetic cork that was pushed down pretty far, making it difficult to pull out. We ended up using a waiters friend corkscrew! It smelled very sweet, and was certainly sweet when I tasted it. I made a mistake of pairing this wine with chicken teriyaki, which was too sweet for a single meal. It did not burn upon going down my throat, it was rather smooth. I would definitely get this wine again, and recommend it to my friends!
